At approximately 10.50pm on Monday the 12 January 2009 Police were called to an alleged shooting at Haigh Access Rd, REDVALE.
On arrival a number of people were present at the address and the body of a 28yr old male was located. All the people present are currently being spoken to by the Police.
The address has been secured for a full forensic scene examination to be completed by Forensic Scientists and Forensic experts over the next few days.
Details of the deceased man are not available as next of kin have to be located and informed of his death.
Police are not looking for any other people with regards to the shooting.
Officer in Charge of the Investigation Detective Senior Sergeant Kim Libby says a 30 yr old man who lives at the address will be appearing at the North Shore District Court on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.
No decision will be made on the laying of further charges until the scene examination and witness interviews have been completed.
