Police are in attendance at a fatal motor vehicle collision on State Highway 1 intersection with Vipond Road Kaiwaka, north of Auckland.

Ambulance, Fire and Police are present. The Waitemata Serious Crash Unit has also commenced investigations.

Road diversions have been established at the intersection of SH1 and Mangawhai Road and Mangawhai Road with Kaiwaka.

Traffic will be diverted via Mangawhai township for some time whilst a scene examination is conducted and emergency services work to clear the collision.
