Planned changes to fine tune the Taupo District Plan are currently underway and will be out for public consultation later this year.
Since the plan became operative in 2007 a number of minor issues have been identified which require clarification or improvement. Taupo District Council officers have resolved these issues into the draft Plan Change 27.
The draft Plan Change 27 sees a number of improvements and clarifications to the District Plan designed to improve the administration and operation of the document. These changes include new definitions, removal of unnecessary rules, and map changes to name a few.
Plan Change 27 will be notified along with Plan Change 26 for the Code of Practice in December. A draft copy of the proposed change can be found on the Taupo District Council website www.taupo.govt.nz, and pre-consultation comments can be made by contacting Abigail Milnes at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 376 0829 before 30 October.
