WELLINGTON CITY

Having considered all the circumstance of the entry by Mr Warwick Slow into the grounds of Premier House on Monday the 18 January 2010, Police have decided not to lay any criminal charges against Mr Slow.

Mr Slow has been warned for the offence of being found on property without reasonable excuse. Police accept that Mr Slow had no intention to commit any criminal offence while on the property and this was the determinative in the decision not to proceed with any charge against Mr Slow.

The entry onto the property without lawful authority also constituted a trespass under the Trespass Act and Mr Slow has been issued with a Trespass notice in respect of Premier House for a period of two years.

Inspector P Cowan
Area Commander Wellington.
