Just prior to midnight on the evening of Wednesday 20th January 2010 at Lambton Quay a male got onto the number 3 Karori bus.

After making a general nuisance of himself he approached an unknown female and demanded her money and cell phone. He then made verbal threats before assaulting the female with punches to her face.

Police have yet to identify the female victim and would like to hear from her or anyone else who witnessed the incident. Please contact Wellington CIB on 0800 TIP OFF (0800 847 633).

A 16-year old male is assisting Police with enquiries.
