Police investigating the shooting of Scott Guy in Feilding on 8 July are disappointed in the lack of response regarding their quest to identify two vehicles seen on the morning of his death.
On Monday (26 July) police announced that they were seeking two vehicles seen on the morning of Scott's death. No descriptions of the vehicles are available, but both were seen driving along Aorangi Road toward Campbell Road, away from the location of Scott's home between 4.30am and 5am on Thursday, 8 July. The two vehicles were seen separately during this half hour period.
Police have canvassed the area and completed road checks during the relevant times one week after Scott's death and the drivers were not identified during those enquiries.
Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger said: "Aorangi Road is a rural road and there is very limited vehicle movement at that time of the morning. If the drivers of these vehicles were going about legitimate business we need them to come forward so that we can eliminate them from the inquiry. The more time that goes by without these drivers coming forward the more we have to consider the movements of these vehicles as suspicious."
• Were you driving along Aorangi Road between 4.30am and 5am on Thursday, 8 July, 2010?
• Did you see these vehicles in or around Aorangi Road?
