The 35 year old man arrested in connection to an incident in Naenae yesterday has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon for allegedly presenting what appeared to be a firearm at three female Police staff.

The incident occurred on Waddington Grove, Naenae around 11am.

Police located the vehicle the alleged offender was a passenger in about an hour later. A firearm has not yet been recovered.

The 35 year old man will be appearing in the Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow morning.
