WELLINGTON CITY

The All Blacks win over Canada has ended what has been a busy but relatively trouble-free weekend across the Capital city, according to Wellington Police District RWC Operation Commander Inspector Simon Perry.

"At this afternoon's game at the Wellington Regional Stadium, there was only one arrest and three evictions, which were mostly alcohol-related."

Inspector Perry says for the amount of RWC fans in the city over the weekend, Police have been impressed with their behaviour.

"There's been plenty happening in the Capital over the weekend, with the New Zealand Navy 70th anniversary commemorations, the Festival of Carnivale and two RWC pool games."

Inspector Perry says, "We have had a visible Police presence across the city over the weekend and have been really pleased with the behaviour and good attitude of RWC fans and other visitors to our city, making it an enjoyable weekend for all."
