A 65 year old male who was reported missing from his home in the West Auckland suburb of Te Atatu has been located at Karekare Beach. He was found by a Search and Rescue team who were in the area.

Mr. Garrick PROTHEROE has been taken to Waitakere Hospital suffering from minor exposure.

The Search and Rescue team were in the area where they were looking for a female tramper who was reported missing but she too has been found safe and well.

Police extend their gratitude to members of the public and the media for their valuable assistence.
