Counties Manukau Police is investigating an aggravated robbery that took place on 11 March 2010 at Wordsworth Superette, Wordsworth Road, Manurewa.

"At about 7.15am two males armed with a firearm and a large knife entered Wordsworth Superette and demanded money from the till. Both males have then fled the store with an amount of money.

They have run along Wenlock Place and through an alleyway to an awaiting vehicle parked in Arnwood Avenue. This vehicle was driven by a third person", said Detective Sergeant Colin Higson.

The males are described as:

Male 1: Maori, fair skin, late teens, 1.6m, slim build, wearing black clothing and a black bandana with white spots.

Male 2: Maori/Polynesian, similar age [to Male 1], shorter [than Male 1], wearing a dark brown long sleeved round neck shirt and black pants.

Both were wearing either balaclavas or bandanas which covered their faces.

The vehicle is a distinctive primer grey coloured older style five door hatchback, similar to a Toyota Corolla or Ford Telstar.

There is no description of the driver of the vehicle.
