Tourism New Zealand's travel website newzealand.com is getting a refresh to further enhance its ability to connect travel sellers with people planning a trip to New Zealand.
Tourism New Zealand's General Manager Brand and International PR, Catherine Bates says, "Since we introduced new features on the site six months ago we have received lots of mixed feedback from the industry. This has been really helpful as we continue to improve the site for our key stakeholders.
"As a result, we have recently completed a review of the site with an external agency. This looked at the usability of the website and it identified areas where we could improve the user experience to connect travellers with travel sellers.
Tourism New Zealand is now starting a programme of work to implement some key changes and make the site easier to use, which will continue into 2012.
Catherine says, "We are very aware that the coming months are a really busy time of year for the industry and we have been careful to ensure that any changes made won't affect operator listings.
"While the look and feel of the site may change as the work is completed the site's goal to connect travellers with travel sellers will remain the same.
"Websites have small changes made to them all the time and the changes we are making to newzealand.com are part of its ongoing evolution.
"The next release of the site will provide an improved user experience that will continue to inspire, inform and connect visitors to New Zealand and the people they need to talk to," she concludes.
Tourism New Zealand will keep users informed of the progress with the project and of any changes that may affect their use of the site.
