Late yesterday afternoon the Police were contacted by a hunter in the Port Hills who reported finding a body in a steep scrub covered ravine. He subsequently took a Police party there and staff minded the site overnight.

This morning the body was brought out by helicopter.

There will be a post mortem tomorrow.

Detective Senior Sergeant John Rae said, "The body is believed to be that of Emma Campbell who went missing in this area on 1 May 2010.

The circumstances of the death are now in the hands of the Coroner."
