A man who died in a forestry accident yesterday in the Brunswick area of Whanganui can now be named as Glenn Simon Giltrap, aged 33, from Whanganui.

He sustained fatal injuries while involved with felling a tree.

Whanganui Police said Mr Giltrap's death has been referred to the Coroner.

Police ask that media respect his family's privacy at this sad time.
