Investigators have now completed the scene examination at the mine site at Ruatapu on the West Coast where a boy was killed when a vehicle rolled into a pond on Sunday evening.
The body of nine year-old Tayne Bowes is expected to be returned to his family today after the completion of a post mortem examination.
Police had hoped to interview Tayne's father today to establish the sequence of events leading to the accident. That has now been postponed and Police hope to speak to him on Wednesday.
