Crash closes Rimutaka Rd - Updated

 Police and other emergency service are attending the scene of the motor vehicle crash just south of the Rimutaka Hill summit S.H. 2.   A vehicle has gone through the fence and down a bank approximately 200metres from the road.

The Upper Hutt side of the Rimutaka road has been closed to traffic at Marchant Road and S.H. 2, Kaitoke.  With traffic from the Wairapara likely to be affected shortly as well.

It is unsure at this stage how long the road will be closed for.
