Urban property owners with overhanging trees encroaching onto the pavement will have received council letters asking them to address the matter.

General inspectors Tracey Boswell and Cameron Tait said the council wished to take a flexible approach and hoped those involved would be co-operative and accept their responsibilities.
Completion for tree trimming is by the end of February.
