URCHIN + AMBER

Situated in the main bar of the Queen’s Ferry Hotel, Urchin + Amber is the latest rendition of Auckland’s oldest pub. First licensed on April 19, 1865, the bar has undergone various name changes and ownership throughout its 150 years of operation. The building has a rich history of ill repute, once a frequent drinking spot for sailors, vagrants and known criminals.
