I have been specialising in recruiting Executive Contractors since 2001, mostly in the area of Finance and Accounting, and set up my own business, Sigma Solutions in 2009. Previously I had spent nine years at Hudson Global Solutions where, for many years, was the top performing Executive Recruiter in New Zealand.

The main specialisation of Sigma is still in the Accounting sector, but I also undertake projects in HR, Legal, Supply Chain and Operational roles. Having spent a career working with multitudes of clients I understanding business functionality and can confidently work in all of these areas.

My earlier career at UDC blended nicely into Recruitment, as both are involved with risk analysis. When assessing a Commercial Loan for a client, one of the factors to determine is the "key man" risk of the business owner - will the business survive without them at the helm? Thus, a lot of the consideration is about the quality of the person which is essentially what recruitment is about.

I have an extensive network of business people, enabling me to utilise a “search methodology” to find candidates with a unique set of skills to complete complex assignments. Over time I have created an extensive database of experienced contractors that I know well, and who I am pleased to recommend.

Sigma Solutions was instigated to be the specialist contract division of the Saturn Group (www.saturngroup.co.nz), well known in the area of Executive Search.

I have been a Committee Member for the Auckland Branch of HRINZ since 2012 with a view to upskill myself on the issues facing the Human Resources sector, at the same time improving the commercial abilities of HR people. I am also looking to champion the cause of placing disabled people into meaningful careers, and am hoping that my membership of Rotary will also assist.
