Napier City Mobile Signs Bylaw 2013

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Sections 83 and 147 of the Local Government Act 2002, that the Napier City Council has adopted the above draft Bylaw.

The purpose of this Bylaw is to control the presence of mobile signs in specified public areas to ensure that vehicle and trailer advertising signs are erected, maintained, positioned and displayed in such a manner that they do not present a hazard or a danger to public safety. The bylaw also seeks to maintain aesthetic standards.

The draft Napier City Mobile Signs Bylaw 2013 will be available for public comment from Monday 11 February until Tuesday 12 March 2013.

The Statement of Proposal and the proposed Bylaw will be available for public viewing throughout this period, at the Napier City Council offices, the Napier Public Library and the Taradale Library, and on the Napier City Council website www.napier.govt.nz (keyword: mobilesigns).

Submission forms can also be obtained at the above locations, or filled in online.

Submissions close at 12 noon on Tuesday 12 March 2013 at the Napier City Council, Hastings Street, Napier and should be made in writing. Contact Michael Webster, Regulatory Services Manager at Council should you require clarification.
