Touchtech named 131st fastest growing technology company

Wellington mobile app company Touchtech has been named the 131st fastest growing technology company in the Asia Pacific region by the Deloitte Fast 500 index.

An outstanding 51 New Zealand businesses ranked in this year’s index, out-performing regional heavyweights South Korea (47) and Japan (45). China achieved 100 rankings and Australia had 74.

Touchtech director Adrian Falvey was stoked by the announcement. “We’ve had a phenomenally exciting year and it’s pretty cool to be recognised on this kind of scale.”

While enjoying the boost from this news, Adrian notes that it isn’t too surprising for the 13-strong group based in Wellington. This year alone the Touchtech team have launched more than 20 inspiring and ambitious projects in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.

They’ve come a long way from their beginnings as four programmers bored by their corporate IT jobs. Over the past 3 years Touchtech’s directors have seized the opportunity to ride the wave of mobile and cloud development, expanded their offices and pulled in more staff. Adrian notes that their focus is on producing sophisticated, quality-driven apps that users love to use. “I think it’s our commitment to value that has helped us grow sustainably.”

Touchtech are looking forward to further growth over the next 12 months.  Plans for overseas expansion are in consideration now as well as a recruitment drive at The New Zealand Jobs Expo with Grow Wellington in Sydney next week.
