Fortune Manning Lawyers have studied the changes to temporary entry instructions on the annual limit to the number of visas available under Recognised Seasonal Employer instructions. This provision has been amended to increase the cap on the number of seasonal workers able to be granted visas under the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) policy.  The number has been increased from 9,500 to 10,500 annually.  Each year 10,500 temporary visas will be granted to non-New Zealand residence and citizens to plant, maintain, harvest and pack crops in the horticulture or viticulture industry for a RSE under RSE instructions.

Fortune Manning advise that the application for this visa should be submitted by 30 June each year. There are criteria which Immigration New Zealand will consider while granting you visas, and this will be discussed by your lawyer when doing the application.

Fortune Manning have also looked at the Union Pay cards for Online Application for Chinese Applicants. Immigration New Zealand has enabled the use of Union Pay debit and credit cards as a form of payment for Online New Zealand visa applications.  This payment option has been developed in collaboration with Westpac and MasterCard, Dynamic Payments, China Union Pay and Datacom.  Union Pay cards are in common use throughout China with debit cards representing 95% of the Union Pay market.  This initiative is likely to increase the attractiveness of the online application option for potential applicants in China who are currently unable to apply online as they do not have a Visa or MasterCard.
