Armstrong Motor Group are proud to support the Royal New Zealand Ballet in their 64th year of performing for the 2017 season. The Royal New Zealand Ballet began in 1953 and has developed a reputation across New Zealand and internationally for strong characterisation in the staging of full-length dramatic works. The ballet consists of 36 dynamic dancers performing a broad range of dance that is ultimately unique to the company itself and to Aotearoa.

This year, the company has three big shows running all across the country. The Carmen with L’arlésienne ballet features two landmark works of 20th century dance, never before performed in New Zealand. Three by Ekman showcases three pieces typical to Ekmans exuberant and complex style.

The third show Romeo and Juliet is inspired by Franco Zeffirellis 1968  film, retelling the well-known Shakespeare classic. The shows will be performed across Christchurch, Invercargill, Dunedin, Blenheim, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Wellington and Auckland and the Royal New Zealand Ballet will be joined onstage by the New Zealand String Quartet.

As an organization, Armstrong Motor Group believe in supporting local artists in the community and will be providing the team from the RNZB with two brand new Peugeots; a 208 and 308. These compact European hatchbacks are the perfect dynamic and elegant match for the RNZB and will keep the company stylishly mobile during their upcoming busy season.

Armstrong Motor Group are excited to support such an enthusiastic group of performers and will be heading along to enjoy the show amongst all other excited dance enthusiasts.
