Passion for Hamilton Drives Waikato-Themed Renovations at Ventura Inn & Suites

Mr Mitchell lives in Nelson but has become passionate about Hamilton and the Waikato since taking ownership of Ventura Inn & Suites on Clarence Street, Hamilton. He has been spending time exploring the region by bike and on foot and discovering the beauty and wonders of the Waikato, including its extensive cycle and walking trails and natural wonders such as glow-worms, waterfalls and native bush.
Mr Mitchell has been working hard at transforming Ventura Inn & Suites into a showcase of the Waikato, with a gallery of local images lining the halls and spectacular displays of Waikato attractions in the refurbished atrium area, beside the outdoor swimming pool and courtyard.
“We are not just about accommodation. We are here to invest in our local community and make a difference,” says Mr Mitchell, who has made donations to local charities and gifted the existing beds from Ventura Inn & Suites to the Hamilton People’s Project after replacing all the beds in the hotel during the renovations.
