James & Wells Expands To Meet Market Growth

National intellectual property specialists, James & Wells have appointed John Mansell to join the firm’s Food and Beverage and Life Science Innovation teams as a Senior Associate.

Mansell joins James & Wells from AJ Park where he specialised in the biotechnology, food technologies, genomics, and metabolomics and proteomics fields. A qualified lawyer and Registered Patent Attorney in New Zealand and Australia, Mansell has a Doctorate from the University of Otago, and will join the firm’s Auckland Patents Team.

Mansell is one of several new hires at the firm, which is going through significant growth. Wing Seow has also recently been appointed as a Patent Attorney in its Christchurch office.  Other recent appointments include Technical Adviser Hazell Fernandez and Paralegal Sarah Cherix, who have both joined the Auckland office, while the firm’s Hamilton office has been boosted by the arrival of Technical Adviser Samuel Parkinson and Paralegal Merehine Waiari.
