SPECIALISING IN party and wedding hire gear, Waikato operating company Compound & Event Hire is showing large growth and development within the company, led by Office Manager Helen McNabb and Group Operations Manager Mike Greaney, who both show real enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead and see the prospect of very promising future success.
Helen, who has lived in the Waikato for the past 13 years, has been the Office Manager at Compound & Event Hire for the past three months. Helen has always worked within Finance and Administration and in her words, has “always enjoyed finance”.
“Looking at the importance of health and safety procedures, establishing and implementing these procedures has also been a part of my role,” added Helen when asked about her rapidly developing roles within the company. “Growing Compound & Event Hire as a company is big for me” Helen also went on to say.
The recent Wedding Expo, which took place June 24 in Hamilton, has also been a significant factor for Compound & Event Hire’s positive growth.
“Since the Expo, we still have and get a lot of interest for wedding hire” Helen explained. “Just last weekend we had another two people inquire about our wedding services”. Helen went on to say and elaborated why the wedding expo was “very successful for the company”.
Mike’s role in the company is more hands on as the Group Operations Manager. “I worked as a digger driver before this job, and have had a close association with Sam Hewitt since operating machinery on the Te Miro site, then moved into this role as the company grew,” Mike explains. “I’m very happy. I enjoy the work, the opportunities and the prospect of further growth for the company” Mike detailed when asked about the wide area of operations Compound & Event Hire offers; such as portable toilets, temporary fencing, container hire, traffic management and more.
“All operations side under Mike” according to Helen, as she had nothing but high praise for Mike. “Relaxed, laid back, no stress” she says, to go along with a people person sales reputation approach that is very much an asset of Mike’s.
When asked about the future growth and opportunities working for Compound & Event Hire, Mike simply replied; “I’m looking forward to it”.
