Neverland Studios' Dance Crews Smash the Stage at HHI NZ Auckland Regionals

Hip Hop Internationals New Zealand (HHI NZ) kicked off the Auckland Regional Championship 2018 on the 17th of February at the Vodafone Events Centre, where the talented dance crews from Neverland Studios took to the stage. All six Neverland crews secured top 10 ranks for their respective categories.
Regional Championships was hosted by Street Dance NZ and saw more than 30 crews compete within three separate categories: Adults, Varsity and Juniors. The top rankers at Regionals then advance to the National competition in April, where they will compete against other great crews from all over New Zealand. Hip hop dance crews from Neverland (NVL) Studios entered the Varsity and Junior categories.
The following NVL crews ranked for Varsity: BOSS gained 3rd place, MIDAS 6th place, and TRIBE 8th place. Top 10 Varsity teams have advanced to Nationals. s
The following NVL crews ranked for Juniors: KHAOS 4th, BEAST 6th, and FRENZY 9th place. Top 8 Juniors teams have advanced to Nationals.
BEAST in particular is a new Juniors crew from Neverland Studios EAST, advancing to Nationals on their first HHI experience this year. BEAST is based at Neverland’s newly renovated studios in Howick, East Auckland, having relocated there this month from their older studio at Pakuranga.
Neverland dance studios Auckland recently held open days for both their North and East studios to kick of 2018. During both Open Days, they sold uniforms and accepted enrolment for dance classes.
The Neverland dance crews are an extension of their dance class programs. They teach a variety of styles, including jazz, ballet, and contemporary. Their kids dance classes are particularly popular; professional teachers tutor toddlers and pre-schoolers in the Pixies program.
Through these classes, children cultivate a love for dancing at an early age, gaining skills not just for the studio but also for life in general.
