The Turning Point Offers A Supportive Environment

The Turning Point New Zealand Limited is the Premier Private detoxification centre for Alcohol and drugs. The Turning Point was born out of the dream of its director Peter Dawson to provide a safe and comfortable environment for people afflicted by the disease of addiction to withdrawal from their substance of dependence and to gain tools to help change their lives and not to return to active addiction.

The Turning Point operates out of two facilities both offering programmes based around the 12 Step approach to recovery and aspects catered specifically to the induvial requirements.

The Auckland facility has been created from a comfortable bungalow set on a large section in Sandringham. An important aspect of recovery is removing one’s self from their immediate environment to focus on internal as well as external stressors. The Auckland facility’s central location provides the opportunity for guests to attend appointments and fulfil requirements that they may have.

For those looking for a more secluded and private environment their recently opened Nelson facility is set amongst beautiful scenery in Brightwater.

The therapeutic tool of one addict/alcoholic helping another is without parallel, and as a result all The Turning Point’s staff are themselves in recovery. This enables easy relatability for guests and provides an understanding and supportive environment free from judgement.
