Car vs Truck leaves one dead

At about 1230 p.m. on Friday the 14th of March 2008, Police attended a motor vehicle crash on Pokuru Road, 11 kilometres south of Te Awamutu. 

The crash occurred when a south bound truck has veered across the centre line crashing into a north bound car. 

The female driver of the car died at the scene.

She was the sole occupant of the vehicle. 

The driver of the truck received minor injuries in the crash.
