Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter called to car crash State Highway One at Paraparaumu

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Paraparaumu at approximately 10:00am today 23rd Dec 09 to a Two car Motor vehicle Accident on State Highway One.

The Helicopter with a Wellington Free Ambulance Helicopter Paramedic on board responded to Paraparaumu.

On arrival of the helicopter a 21yr old female from Wellington who was the driver of one of the vehicles was still being cut out of the vehicle by Emergency Services. The driver had Abdominal pain and possible Head and neck Injuries. There were no other passengers in the vehicle. The occupants of the second vehicle suffered no injuries.

The driver was transported to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where she is being assessed and for her injuries
