At 4.00 pm yesterday, Wednesday the 30th of December 2009, Police were called to the Swanson Caravan Park.

The initial report to police was that someone had been stabbed and the person responsible was present and was still in possession of the knife.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brown stated "When the police arrived a male person was still in possession of two large knives. Due to the fear for the safety of the persons at the camp both police 'glock' pistols and a taser were deployed"

The male refused to place the knives down. Due to the fear the police held for the occupants of the camp the taser was activated. The male was subdued and apprehended without injury to any persons.
