UPPER HUTT

On Sunday, 4 July at 7:30pm, a male was reported overdue to police after failing to return from a motorbike ride somewhere north of Upper Hutt.

The male left his home in Lower Hutt at 12:30 Sunday afternoon to ride his green Kawasaki KLX 400R motorcycle in the bush area north of Upper Hutt. The male may have entered the bush at Totara Park but this is not confimed. He was alone and was not believed to have met up with any other riders.

The male is Caucasian of average height and solid build. He has brown hair and a goatee and moustache. He was last seen wearing jeans, a thick hooded sweatshirt with a grey and black bike jacket over the top. He may have been carrying a backpack.

Family members expected he would return at about 4:30pm. As he is now more than 12 hours overdue, police hold concerns for his safety.

Police are asking anyone who may have had any sightings of the missing man or his trail bike to contact police on (04) 3812000.
