Rotorua International Stadium is hosting the city’s sold-out Rugby World Cup 2011 match on Sunday [25 September] at 6pm when nearly 30,000 fans will watch Ireland and Russia take the field.

The event is the third and final RWC2011 match to be played in Rotorua.

Gates open at the stadium at 4pm and rugby fans wanting to get the best possible enjoyment out of the day are being reminded to plan ahead, get to the stadium early, and follow a few simple rules.

FREE BUS SHUTTLE TO & FROM STADIUM: the continuous shuttle starts operating from 4pm until 5.30pm. It departs from the Convention Centre (Cnr Arawa & Fenton Sts), with a pick-up stop enroute at Four Canoes Hotel (Fenton St). Drop-off is at Westbrook shops where there is a dedicated walkway direct to the stadium’s No 3 gate. Bus transport back into the CBD will commence from 7.30pm and run continuously until 9.30pm.

PUBLIC CAR PARK: open from 2pm. Parking is $10 per vehicle - cash only. Car park access is from Thebes St and Devon St West.

DISABLED PARKING: available on Devon St West. Current Disability Pass must be shown to security guards at roadblock.

LIQUOR & BAGS: Liquor can not be brought into the stadium and patrons’ bags will be checked. To reduce time required for bag checks and to speed access patrons are advised to bring one bag per group.

LIQUOR BAN AROUND STADIUM: Immediate areas around the stadium are subject to a liquor ban which will be policed. Liquor can not be consumed in sign-posted liquor ban areas.
Tickets are available from Rotorua Convention Centre ticket office and at the gate on game day.
