Kaikohe - Attempted Aggravated Robbery

KAIKOHE

At about 5.45 a.m. on Saturday the 21st of January 2012, there was an attempted aggravated robbery at the Kaikohe Bakehouse on Broadway, Kaikohe.

Kaikohe Police are currently investigating this matter and are seeking information from anybody who was in the area around the time of this incident.

A plain white Toyota van was used by the suspect and co offender while committing the attempted aggravated robbery. This van was stolen from Kerikeri earlier in the morning.

One suspect has entered the Bakehouse while his co offender remained in the van.

The suspect for this matter is described as a male with brown coloured skin, average to solid build, approximately 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11 inches tall and had a black pony tail protruding out of the back of the baseball cap he was wearing. At the time, this suspect was described as wearing a grey coloured hooded sweatshirt with a square lined design throughout the sweatshirt, plain black pants, black peaked cap, a pair of white gloves, wearing a black scarf or bandana covering the lower half of his face, black sports shoes with a white stripe on the side.
