Music in the library

Quiet usually rules supreme in libraries, but not this month at the War Memorial Library, which is getting behind New Zealand Music Month with a string of music-themed events.

Of those remaining in May, watch out for free ukulele lessons by Mike Rowlands, starting at 4.30pm on May 24. There is also a chance to win $100 of iTunes vouchers.

Go to the library’s facebook page and cast a vote on the top five nominated Kiwi songs. One lucky voter will win the vouchers. Voting runs from May 21-31.
