NAPIER

Next week, Napier's citizens have an opportunity to join in a couple of clean-up projects along the Parade, as part of National Clean-up Week, starting on Sunday 16th.

Keep Napier Beautiful committee chair Cr Maxine Boag said she was hoping others would join her committee in two clean-up projects.

The first is on Sunday 16th September from 2pm to 5pm starting at the Aquarium. It is being organised by the Council's Youth Committee, who are inviting other young people to join them for a couple of hours. A sausage sizzle will be provided for the participants. Contact Paul Faleono on 027 4701243 to register your interest.

On Wednesday 19th September, the KNB committee will be working with the National Aquarium staff to do a couple of hours cleanup around the Aquarium, starting at 9am.

"Anyone is welcome" says Maxine.

Gloves and rubbish bags will be provided. It's a chance to make your contribution to keeping our beautiful city clean and attractive.

For more information phone Maxine at 835 6495 - or just turn up on the day.
