Napier City Public Places Liquor Control Bylaw 2012

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Sections 83 and 147 of the Local Government Act 2002, that the Napier City Council has adopted the above draft Bylaw.

The purpose of this Bylaw is to provide liquor control in specified public areas to reduce the incidence of alcohol related offences.

The draft Public Places Liquor Control Bylaw will be available for public comment from Friday 9 November 2012 until Tuesday 11 December 2012.

The Statement of Proposal and the proposed Bylaw will be available for public viewing throughout this period, at the Napier City Council offices, the Napier Public Library and the Taradale Library, and on the Napier City Council website www.napier.govt.nz (key word ‘banbylaw’).

Submission forms can also be obtained at the above locations, or filled in online.

Submissions close at 12 noon on Tuesday 11 December 2012 at the Napier City Council, Hastings Street, Napier and should be made in writing. Contact Michael Webster, Regulatory Services Manager at Council should you require clarification.

The hearing of submissions will be notified following the closure of submissions.
