Designer Wardrobe’s online marketplace works both ways; by providing a website for women who love to buy good quality, pre-loved clothing, and also a place for them to sell their designer items in a safe environment. They provide a place for like-minded women to interact with each other, creating an inspiring, fun and quick and easy experience buying and selling their favourite designer items. Designer Wardrobe likes to think of themselves as an online community of compatible people, who see the value and beauty in each item displayed.

Women love the concept of Designer Wardrobe as a place where they can view countless amazing clothing, footwear and accessories in their free time, and are able to find that perfect outfit for the weekend, without spending a lot of money (and time) in the process. Shopping online at Designer Wardrobe is actually shopping smart as women are able to buy quality recycled clothing for a fraction of the price of the originals.

However, now there is an even smarter option, as Designer Wardrobe have a new rental service where women can rent out that dress that they have only worn once but one they can’t actually part with. Renting their clothing out means that they can then buy new season’s items while at the same time retaining ownership of their pre-loved item.

People can sell more than 10 items at once, with Designer Wardrobe’s really accurate filtering capabilities, real time notifications (with sounds!), and real time chat is coming soon. They can also send images in a private message, which is also coming soon and have a social experience - even safer with Designer Wardrobe’s brand new security features.

A big part of the Designer Wardrobe community is about maintaining the high standard of listings on the site by keeping to their list of accepted "designer" brands which are listed on the website as General Listings - these are items that are in the Shop page – and High Street. They have introduced a new section on the website called DW High Street, which will include listings from a selection of great high street brands like Topshop, Zara, Country Road and more.
