With the event of the revised Health & Safety regulations, Machinery Movers decided to look at all aspects of their compliance including, Training, Health & Safety and Transport legislation.

When the CEO, Wayne Sivern, had completed the full review, it was decided to employe a full-time training and compliance manager and a safety and wellness manager, to overhaul the current systems.

These two positions were filled in mid-2016, with Brian Parker coming on board as the Training and Compliance manager and Michael Saunders as the Safety and Wellness manager as part of the senior management team.

The company also recognised the commercial significance of being “fully compliant,” now that all PCBU’s have joint responsibilities under the current Health & Safety regulations, and have invested in new uniforms that are compliant with the required PPE standards, and an electronic Health & Safety reporting and information storage system vault, that helps with the monitoring of training and equipment compliance and reporting.

During this period, there has been a large focus on “upskilling” and ensuring that all the required certification is current for all staff. This ensures that all their staff have the training and qualifications required to undertake their tasks safely and with confidence.

This has resulted in the business being awarded several certifications from independent auditing organisations, that allow Machinery Movers to tender for large projects with major local and international clients.

Machinery Movers Ltd was established in 1990, and are New Zealand wide and international operators, providing a broad range of logistical services for machinery moving including extraction, transportation and installation.
