About the RMHC:

Mission

RMHC creates and supports programmes which strengthen Kiwi families throughout their children’s medical journeys, ensuring they are better placed to cope and help their children heal.

Vision

As pioneers of providing family centred care, RMHC continually strives to be part of the solution in improving the lives of hospitalised children and their families.  We are working towards a time when every family whose children require treatment at a hospital away from home can be reassured in knowing that they will be welcomed and supported by a RMHC New Zealand programme.

The Auckland Domain House has 48 family bedrooms including four self-contained units for families with a child waiting for, or recovering from, a transplant. These are occasionally also used by oncology patients and their families during longer treatment regimes. Families in Auckland Domain have the use of two kitchens, two dining rooms, an onsite school, fitness centre and communal lounges including a TV room plus additional computer and craft areas.

Supporting local community groups and organisations is important to Auckland City Toyota in giving back to the community and it is hoped that by sponsoring the Ronald McDonald House, Auckland City Toyota are keeping the families of sick and injured children together throughout their medical journey.
