The Butyl Sealant Tape for General Purpose includes two products, PBB310 and PBB0310. PBB310 is a preformed high performance polyisobutylene (PIB) based sealing tape. This product has a multitude of applications where joints need to be formed to seal against air and water ingress. Applications of this tape include roofing and cladding, heating and ventilation, motorhome manufacture, damp proofing, marine hatch sealing and general sealing.

PBB310 is completely waterproof, cost effective, non-toxic and doesn’t require any tools to apply it. The tapes are available in black, white, grey, red, blue, green, yellow and orange. Its dimensions are 1mm to 35mm and width from 5mm to 200mm. Available in a single strand or multi-lane rolls, the life expectancy of this product is more than 20 years. It is also UV resistant. It provides very good adhesion to most surfaces and is compatible with most commonly used construction and building materials. This tape has a solvent-free formulation and is environmentally friendly too.

PBB311 is a butyl rubber sealing tape for non-critical sealing and glazing applications in drainage systems. It can provide economical installation because of its form and ease of handling. It is a ready to use sealant for manhole covers within drainage systems and comes in the roll format a with release liner. This tape has good weather and ageing resistance. It is relatively flexible, does not harden and does not stain. Its application temperature is from 5°C to 40°C.

The Foil Laminated Butyl Tape is commonly used as a joint sealer on insulated panel roofs and walls, giving a complete water tight seal that increases the life of the roof panels. They come in roll form, and are easy and clean to apply with no wastage. PB0314T is butyl tape laminated with a fixed foil backing. The foil backing is Titania in color, while the butyl is white. PBBL310 is a waterproof, single sided butyl sealant tape with a foil laminate. It is available in black and white.
