Modern Build in Remuera Used IBS OS'Brace RAP and IBS OS'Floor

OS'Brace RAP and OS'Floor is an effective rigid air barrier and flooring combo, and recently a modern build in Remuera by HighSpec Building Ltd used IBS OS'Brace RAP and IBS OS'Floor."When looking for a rigid air barrier, I wanted something that was going to be easy to install, quick to put up, provide a good bracing element and be environmentally friendly, and OS'Brace RAP met those needs," says Jason Yeoman, owner of HighSpec Building Ltd.

"It only takes one person to lift and you can cut it using normal tools. One of the best things is that you can put it straight over your windows, so you can start working inside, and when you're ready to install your windows, you just cut them out. When you do cut it, no carcinogens come out, just sawdust. It saved time and labour costs. For the flooring we used IBS OS'Floor because it was structurally certified and, like the OS'Brace RAP, was easy to install, easy to handle and healthy for the environment and our builders."

IBS OS'Brace RAP is an orientated strand board rigid air barrier and structural bracing panel. It replaces traditional building wrap and is cost effective, simple to install, lightweight (from 11.2kg), easy to cut and can be used with almost any suitable tape system. It is treated to H3.1 level (it does not need to be re-treated when cut), E0 formaldehyde free, moisture resistant and is CodeMark certified to the NZ Building Code.

IBS OS'Floor is a structural orientated strand board designed specifically for flooring applications. With a tongue and groove timber profile, edge swelling protection and a pre-marked nail grid pattern, the panel is very easy to install and handle, saving time and labour costs.

Both panels are manufactured in Germany especially for the New Zealand building industry and are made from renewable sustainable resources, characterised by low emissions due to 100% formaldehyde free resin and are certified by independent third parties.
