Steinlager Series: Don't Miss the All Blacks Season Kick-Off This June

The All Blacks season is kicking off this June and it’s not one to miss. New Zealand is welcoming France for 2018’s Steinlager Series as they play three test matches against the All Blacks across stadiums in New Zealand – a great treat for rugby fans as they witness the men in black’s first time to take the field in 2018.

As the first of this year’s All Blacks fixtures, the Steinlager Series will see the All Blacks take on France in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin – on the 9th, 16th and 23rd of June, respectively. While the series promises to be a tussle between two great rugby nations, fans are keen to get a good first look at the All Blacks team, with the final team list only announced last month.

Three new faces are making their debut as All Blacks members in the series, namely: Shannon Frizell, Jordan Taufua, and Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi. The All Blacks selectors have also named Sam Whitelock as captain, with Ben Smith and Same Cane as vice-captains.

The All Blacks team will look to continue their 23-year winning streak at Eden Park, Auckland since remaining undefeated since 1994. The French is returning to Wellington since suffering a narrow 14-10 loss in 2009. Down south in Dunedin, France will be looking to record another win over the All Blacks since their last victory Carrisbrook in 2009.
