Post Haste’s busy North Harbour branch moves a lot of freight, and on 16 June it moved to a new site at 1 Rothwell Avenue in Rosedale. Post Haste’s associate company, New Zealand Couriers, have been at this location for the last six months, and in preparation they will be shifting up one level to allow Post Haste to occupy the ground floor.

Among the many potential benefits will be a vast increase in the  amount of space, which they so desperately needed. Their current premises are around 1,500m2, while the new workplace covers some 15,000m2.

Not only will this allow their contractors’ vans to fit inside, but it will enable each driver to have their own courier bay without having to compete on a first-in, first-served basis. The new set-up will also allow for their West Auckland contractors to move in.

North Harbour Branch will be able to complete their own deconsolidation, which means they won’t have any more mixed freight in the mornings. The move will also allow them to link back up with their sister Freightways companies in the area, and in doing so each brand will be able to work more efficiently in residential precincts.

There have been many modifications made to their new North Harbour premises to fit them in, and they are looking forward to making the most of the new space.
