Armstrong Motor Group Now in the Travel Business

Following the successful acquisition of the Peugeot and Citroen distribution rights for New Zealand just over a year ago, Armstrong Motor Group has now signed contracts to represent the PSA Group in New Zealand for their holiday car leasing programs in Europe. This encompasses the Peugeot Open Europe, Citroen Euro Pass and DS Euro Pass programs, representing the three brands within the PSA Group.

The schemes are provided by the French Government and allow New Zealand travellers to lease a tax-free vehicle in Europe from 21 days to almost six months in duration. Each leased vehicle is brand new, with full unlimited kilometre factory warranties, has comprehensive no-excess insurance and can be collected at various locations throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.

In making the announcement, Managing Director Rick Armstrong said, “The new Armstrong company Drive Holidays Limited will be run by Delwyn Sinclair who will start as General Manager of the business on 1st September 2018. Delwyn has been involved in the sale of leasing products in Europe since 1994, so has significant experience to bring to the role.

“Armstrong’s Advisory Board Chair, Mark Darrow, has been working on this project for us over the last 12 months and we see it as a natural extension of our representation in New Zealand for the Peugeot, Citroen and DS Automobile brands. There are many synergies within our existing business, and it could double the number of vehicles we can attribute to our sales efforts.

“Our experience in the last year as the New Zealand importer for the brands has been very positive, and we are delighted to extend that relationship even further into the travel sector through the number one European leasing program,” he concluded.

Drive Holidays will have two Auckland based offices located in Grafton and Botany, and will be fully operational from 1st September 2018 in time for the new travel booking season.
