QRisk, professional organisational problem solvers and people trainers, recently decided to pay it forward to the community with a new programme. The ‘You-Me-We’ programme teaches young people—mostly students and those about to embark on a new journey—empowering skills to help them face the many challenges of everyday life.

Last August, Air New Zealand engaged Paul Walsh from QRisk to be the keynote speaker at their Health & Safety forum. The talks in both Auckland and Christchurch were received warmly, and enough good feedback enabled Air NZ to host Paul again on a series of return talks with the same subject to the operational engineering team. Air NZ then decided on Aorere College as the recipients of the ‘You-Me-We’ pay it forward gift - scheduled for November.

When QRisk  went to Aorere College, they were met with a large, attentive audience. Among the audience were Year 12 and 13 students, some returning next year as senior students, others heading into the workfoce, training institutes, and universities and others wanting to embark on travel. Air NZ’s goal through QRisk was to arm these students with practical knowledge about life in the world outside the school gates.

Thanks to Air NZ and QRisk’s talks, these students are now equipped with the knowledge to face any problems whether in real life work or in higher education. QRisk also brought in a special guest – Noreen, a Q Story ambassador – who relayed a story of when she was in a life-threatening situation to an audience that was suddenly alert and more responsive than usual. The surprise motivational speaker cited QRisk’s lessons as a huge part of why she was able to deliver the story after the fact.

QRisk partners with companies to provide corporate and speaking engagements, enabling Qrisk to empower local students at a school of their choice.

QRisk is raring to tell stories like Noreen’s as well as impart valuable life lessons in partnerships with key sponsors. To know more about their services, visit https://www.qrisk.co.nz/ today!
