Fletcher Reinforcing’s reinforcing steel and reinforcing mesh act as the bones of concrete foundations and structures, and they offer fabrication services from their nationwide branch network for construction sites, precasters, contractors, and builders throughout New Zealand.

They supply 100% New Zealand made ductile and hard-drawn reinforcing mesh (compliant to NZS 3604:2011) required for the New Zealand construction and building industry. This is manufactured in facilities around the country, then distributed through leading building material suppliers or directly through their national branch network.

Seismic 500E grade reinforcing mesh is designed to withstand the forces of seismic activity and provides stronger reinforcement to concrete foundations. It was developed specifically to meet the amended residential building standards requirements that came into effect in February 2012. Development of the product involved an unwavering focus on research, in collaboration with Pacific Steel, as well as independent testing at the Pacific Steel test house.

All concrete floor slabs on ‘good ground’, are required to have reinforcing steel mesh, and all perimeter foundations are required to be tied to the concrete slab with reinforcing steel. The minimum reinforcement requirement as of 1st  February 2012 is 2.27kg/m2 of Grade 500E reinforcing mesh fabric.

Hard drawn mesh is more suitable for non-structural applications, such as driveways and footpaths and Fletcher Reinforcing offer a range of mesh sheet sizes to meet the needs of typical New Zealand applications.

They also deliver all the technical specifications and information you require while out on site, directly to your smartphone or iPad via our Mesh app. Fletcher

Reinforcing is home to 100% New Zealand-made reinforcing steel and mesh products. With their help, your concrete foundations and structures will benefit from the strength of their skilled team.
