From innovation and development to manufacture, Max Frank’s Pecafil Stay-In-Place Formwork system speeds up construction, improves build quality, reduces the need for skilled labour and saves you money, and Pecafil Installation is available exclusively at Fletcher Reinforcing.

The Pacific Coast Village project in Taurang was overseen by Mike Bowman of C3 Construction, who advocates that Pecafil Stay-In-Place Formwork’s main advantage is that it reduces construction time onsite, which helps the construction company complete the job quicker and more efficiently. As Mike says, “The obvious advantage is the speed of it, so obviously time saving, and cost wise it’s very competitive, so it sort of becomes a ‘no brainer’.”

It is also possible to prefabricate off-site with reinforcing steel prior to delivery, and backfilling can commence as soon as formwork is placed. Smaller excavations are possible as less working room is required, and there is better site access due to reduced formwork space requirements. The specially manufactured material is constructed from a steel mesh in a wide range of sheet and strip sizes and shaped to meet the application, and its distinctive yellow outer layer is heat-shrunk puncture resistant polyethylene, made from non-toxic, naturally occurring hydrocarbons. It is also light enough for one person to handle with ease.
