Located in Auckland’s Central Business District, the Crown Institute of Studies is an official public test centre for the TOEIC – Test Of English for International Communication. The TOEIC measures the English skills of migrants and non-native English-speaking citizens working in an international environment. The test focuses on conversational English and does not require specialised vocational or technical vocabulary skills.

The TOEIC is split into four sections: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. The full exam must be taken over two days. Reading and listening exams are administered at Crown Institute on select Fridays at 1:00pm, while the speaking and writing test is administered on select Wednesdays at 4:00pm. Candidates should arrive at the testing centre at least 30 minutes early with passport in hand. Nearby parking and public transport are both available.

Various packages are available for the TOEIC and range in price from $230 to $350 NZD. Results will be received by email within one week of completing the exam.

Crown Institute is Auckland’s longest running private tertiary institute, offering highly respected courses and qualifications for international students. With courses in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, and English, Crown Institute is well positioned to introduce the world’s brightest talent to the New Zealand economy.

The TOEIC exam is available to any non-native English speaker and the test can be taken an unlimited number of times, though it may be taken only once every four weeks. Candidates for the exam can prepare for the test by taking the Official Learning and Preparation Course (OLPC)
