Stylecraft Stairways Recent Floating Stair Installation in Auckland

Stylecraft Stairways is an expert staircase specialist, based in Wellington since 1992. They are widely known for their architectural staircases and end-to-end service. Recently, Stylecraft completed a floating steel stair for a high-end Auckland home. The staircase combines side plate steel stringers with stained American Oak treads and a frameless glass balustrade. Stylecraft has said that the staircase is sure to stand the test of time.

The design is sleek and minimalist; the steel stringers and dark American Oak, along with the frameless glass combine to create a stylish, contemporary look.

This design was formulated specifically to integrate seamlessly with the existing architectural aesthetic of the home, which features flooring and other timber components that match the American Oak. For Stylecraft, the installation was a chance to work alongside renowned architecture firm Herbst Architects, who designed the rest of the home, and Peter Broome Builders, who oversaw construction.

From the beginning of the process, Stylecraft worked directly with the homeowner as part of the end-to-end philosophy. This allows Stylecraft, to remain consistent from design, right through t installation. Ultimately, this also saves customers time and money, as they can avoid engaging multiple agencies for the job.

As a Wellington-based company, Stylecraft has been growing it’s presence in Auckland over time, and currently carries out nation-wide jobs from a centrally-located head office in Porirua.
