Founded in 2014 by Ulrich Frerk, Adroit is a company that specialises in something that the world is in sore need of. The Internet of Things (IoT). Adroit works as an IoT services company for businesses and industries alike, aiming to connect devices which are not traditionally thought of as “internet-ready” to the world wide web. They speak to the benefits of the IoT revolution, and demonstrate that 24/7 connectivity across all devices is one of the best ways to make our world smarter. This year they are bringing their philosophies and expertise to the Facilities Integrate Expo.

Facilities Integrate is a business and trade event held to bring together companies that manage, secure, develop and design revolutionary new technology to increase the efficiency of New Zealand’s buildings, facilities and industries. As a part of their attendance, Adroit will be hosting a workshop to educate other businesses attending on the possibilities allowed through the IoT. Their workshop will be hosted as part of the Tech Hub section of the expo. Tech Hub promises to “showcase disruptive, cutting edge and emerging trends” in business technology, and Adroit is bringing their expertise surrounding IoT devices to the floor.

The workshop will be hosted by founder and CEO of the company, Ulrich Frerk. He seeks to educate the world about the benefits of connecting our devices, even the ones that don’t traditionally connect to the Internet (such as spa pools and coffee machines). He will be speaking about the possibility of improving human existence through implementation of smart, connected technology. In an environmentally-unbalanced world, the Internet of Things can work to create smarter strategies for energy conservation, without compromising on convenience.
